General

We only sell products from quality manufacturers. From our years of experience, you get what you pay for. 

Regarding metal buildings, one of the biggest complaints for customers of lesser manufacturers is that it doesn’t fit together. Using very thin steel, poorly manufactured fitting and cheap fixings all adds up to a horrendous experience in trying to assemble it, maintain it and living with it.

Our manufacturers offer a 20 year corrosion warranty , thicker steel, precision manufacturing using robots, fantastic packaging to ensure safe delivery, great colour instructions, all the tools needed for self-assembly, responsive customer service and continuous product development and improvement.

The products come incredibly well packaged in re-enforced cardboard boxes, all numbered and in flat-packed form. The delivery lorry is typically a 20 tonne model with a tail-lift. Suitable access would be required and delivery is kerbside.

All of our products come with comprehensive instructions and the tools required to assemble them. We would recommend that a minimum of two people work as a team and there is plenty of space to work in. Care is also needed to ensure that scratches aren’t caused whilst assembling.

In the UK you have a legal right, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations June 2014, to cancel your order within fourteen (14) days following your receipt of the goods. Refunds for orders cancelled under the provisions of the Consumer Contracts Regulations will be processed in accordance with your legal rights.Returns

Standard ‘in stock’ products are delivered as quickly as possible within 4 weeks of order clarity. We deliver directly to the desired delivery address. Depending on the weight resp. the size of the goods, the delivery will be done by parcel service or carrier (the larger items will come with a fork lift). Upon delivery by the carrier, you will be contacted by them, as soon as the goods arrived in the final delivery depot. You have to arrange for delivery within one of the two following business days.

Biohort products require little care due to the high quality material and the careful processing. It is sufficient if the lock and the hinges are oiled annually and the sliding guides of the StoreMax are regularly cleaned or treated with silicone spray. In case of contamination due to weather and environmental influences, you only need water for cleaning and the Biohort CleanLine universal cleaner.

You can even use a high-pressure cleaner for cleaning (distance between the lance and the paint min. 10 cm, do not use a steam cleaner, maximum pressure approx. 80 bar). For the preservation of the paint surface we recommend the Biohort CleanLine preservation, which protects the paint surface best from weather and environmental influences.

Important: Salt water and / or sand containing ambient air, aggressive and abrasive cleaning agents, road salt, fertilizers and other chemical substances (never store products openly) can attack the paint and zinc surface and lead to rust damage. Warranty claims can no longer be asserted in such cases.

No special technical knowledge is required for the installation. The delivery of our products includes a detailed assembly manual.

Base/ Foundation

What is the ground like that you are putting the product onto? 

For an overview of the different options, visit our guide HERE. However below is a summary of the choices;

If the ground is level and solid then any of the products can be positioned directly on to the ground. All products come with fixings to secure to the ground (except the LeisureTime boxes, raised planters and other smaller items). 

If a new concrete base is to installed, please see the great instructions for your Biohort building HERE.

If the ground is gravel or shingle, or in the sheds you want to have a raised internal floor then the 40mm aluminium base frame (see HERE) is a great option to provide additional stability to the building.  An optional aluminium checker-plate floor can also be supplied or you and fit your own flooring.

If the ground is solid but sloping up to 40mm, then the SmartBase (see HERE) is a great option to provide a level foundation for the sheds and larger products. 

On ground that is lawn, sloping more than 40mm or where concrete or other materials is either too expensive or not practical, the SmartBase Plus (see HERE) is a popular option. This base uses ground screws to provide the levelling and foundation.

A foundation has to be built for tool sheds, Equipment Locker and the MiniGarage. Please note our foundation tips.

For the products WoodStock, StoreMax, HighBoard, Patio Locker Romeo and the Cornerboard, a level and solid base must be available. These products must be fixed to this subgrade with the supplied screws and anchors.

The storage boxes (LeisureTime Box and LoungeBox) must also be placed on a level and solid surface. It is not intended to be fixed to the ground.

The Raised Vegetable Bed, the planter Belvedere and the MonAmi Composter can be placed on all level surfaces.

Warranty

Our Telluria products both come with a 20 year corrosion warranty. For mechanical issues, a 2 year warranty is offered. Beyond this period, spares can be purchased through us. Any damage arising from delivery must be reported to us within 24 hours (please send as much information as possible, including photos).

Products

Most of our products come with a touch-up pen to remedy the damage. If you require a pen, we can can supply them HERE.

Yes, if you can provide us with the barrel number we can get an new set sent to you. You can order a new set HERE.

With anything exposed to the weather, to ensure your product stays looking its best, we recommend washing the external surfaces periodically with car shampoo and a sponge and rinsing. A care package set from Biohort is available HERE.
